The Level 2 Award in Welding Skills –offered in both MIG and TIG Welding are designed for those candidates who wish to build on introductory skills gained at Level 1

Course Overview

The Level 2 Award in Welding Skills –offered in both MIG and TIG Welding are designed for those candidates who wish to build on introductory skills gained at Level 1. They afford candidates the opportunity to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression within this sector of engineering. On completion candidates will be competent in completing welded joints in standard welding positions.

The Award is delivered part-time over 15 weeks at the rate of 4 hours/week. Each class will combine a short theory session for delivery of the underpinning knowledge with a substantial session of welding practice to allow candidates to develop the skills required.
