Why Study This Course

Ideal for those students who have left school following completion of GCSEs, this course will allow you to study your Level 2 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing whilst working in a salon. You will study in college for one full day or two half days a week, where you will learn the skills and underpinning knowledge to develop your hairdressing career.

The course has a hands-on approach, where students will gain experience in the college hairdressing salons of Shadeka and Revive. During your time at the college you will learn all aspects of hairdressing from styling to colouring and cutting, and the skills to communicate and work safely in the salon.

A key feature of delivery of apprenticeship is that learners are employed by salons and work out in industry, enabling them to further develop their skills, knowledge and ability to provide a range of hairdressing services.

This course prepares you for further study and/or employment as a trainee hairstylist within a salon.
