Why Study This Course
This Level 2 course is designed to allow the learner to gain knowledge of Hydrogen use within the Domestic Dwelling and how to meet the challenges of Carbon Reduction, this is a one-day course with a short theory exam.

Learners must be at least 18 years of age and have a construction qualification such as NVQ or a background/experience in construction.

  • Understand Nett Zero 2050
  • Understand the safe use of Hydrogen
  • Understand the properties, production and combustion of hydrogen.
  • Understand climate change and the role of green technologies in addressing climate change.
  • Understand the challenges associated with introduction of hydrogen technologies.

For learners looking for an academic qualification/CPD in the environmental sector.

And gain skills and knowledge in Carbon Zero new and emerging Hydrogen alternatives to Natural Gas and the installation, safety and operational practices.

Learning about the new suite of Green Carbon Reducing and Carbon Reducing processes that will reduce our need for consuming fossil fuel within domestic dwellings.

Onto the OCN NI Level 5 Award in Retrofitting of Domestic Properties will allow learners to progress to the OCN NI Level 5 Certificate and Extended Certificate in Retrofitting of Domestic Properties. From there learners may progress to higher level qualifications in the area of environmental conservation and green technologies or into employment.
