The programme will allow you to achieve a full Level 2 qualification and will comprise the following key elements:

  • A main vocational based qualification
  • Vocational skills development
  • Transversal and digital skills
  • Work placement
  • Literacy and numeracy qualifications.

4 GCSEs at Grade D --G or above (Diploma).  students to hold a D grade or above in both Maths and English for the diploma. 

4 GCSE’s including either maths or English at D grade to be offered cert.

Applicants that have not obtained the above grades may be eligible to enrol as an Introductory Trainee. Please contact us for further information.

  • Communication and Handling Information
  • Principles and Values
  • Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • Context and Professional Development in Health and social care. .

You want to pursue a career working in health care. The course also includes work experience which will give you the opportunity to experience potential careers before fully committing to a pathway.

As well as providing you with the technical skills and knowledge in your chosen area, this course will help you to develop a range of transversal skills that are important for employment including such as  problem solving, Teamwork, Communication, Time management, Entrepreneurship.

On each campus we have practical clinical rooms where you can undertake care activities and role play to support your learning .

All students who have attained the full qualification may progress to employment or further study on a programme like the Level 3 Extended Certificate or National Foundation Diploma in Health and social care.
