Why Study This Course

This suite of new regulated qualifications has been brought up to date in association with the Heat Pump Association, industry and MCS and are designed for learners from a heating background (wet central heating systems) to demonstrate their knowledge in the Installation and Maintenance of *Air Source Heat Pumps Systems (non-refrigerant circuits).

To be either a qualified Plumber, or a Gas Safe Registered Gas Engineer, or an OFTEC Registered Oil operative, or a current MCS operative. There are pre-requisites for this qualification; all candidates must hold on top of the above, water regulations qualifications and unvented hot water qualifications.

There is one written assignment, one practical assignment and two online exam’s to complete this course, one core Heat Pump Unit and one Air Source Heat Pump Unit.

You are currently an MCS, OFTEC, Gas Safe installer or a plumbing and heating contractor who wishes to commence with Air Source Heat Pump Installation works.

The installation requirements, of the heating and hot water systems required and component parts of the Air Source Heat Pump.
