The NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Northern Ireland) is a competence-based qualification specifically designed for learners working or wanting to work in Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland

    It allows learners to learn about health and social care and to develop and refine practical and technical skills required for employment and/or career progression in the health and social care sector.

    The qualification is formed of mandatory and optional units designed to support students to work within this industry.

    Learners should be at least 16 years old and have a desire to work in a health and social care setting.

    You will need 4 GCSEs to include English or Maths OR hold a Pass at Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma.

     

    This qualification is suitable for a range of learners, either working or wishing to work in a variety of different settings within health and social care in Northern Ireland.

    More about the field of health and social care, including the regulation and legislation it operates within. You will also spend time learning more about everyday situations and illness you may come across such as stroke and dementia.

    The new knowledge you will acquire and the sense of improved confidence in your own capabilities. Practical skills are taught in our bespoke clinical rooms by nursing tutors. You will also be in work placement at least one day a week.

    Successful completion would allow you to apply for jobs as a Care Assistant, or working in a residential settling or community care.
