Level 3 Apprenticeship NI in Plastering
This 2 year course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to further develop a career in Plastering. 1 Day a week will be spent in college and the remaining 4 days will be spent on site with an employer.

Ideal for students who have completed their GCSEs, who have relevant industry experience and are hoping to become accomplished plasterers. Students will learn how to prepare walls and ceilings for decoration and finishing.
The course will also teach plaster components, building methods and construction technology, how to board and set a ceiling, apply plaster to a curved wall and produce a curved cornice.
You will attend the college 1 Day a week and the remaining 4 days will be spent on site with an employer.
This is a course to equip you with the skills and knowledge to develop a career in plastering.
Learners will study a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Construction) – Solid.
You will need:
- an employer in the trade area
- a Level 2 qualification in Plastering or
- relevant industry experience
- a minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent Essential Skills L2 in Literacy and Numeracy*
*We will also consider those applicants who are working towards these qualifications.

• Dry lining and plasterboard
• Plaster components
• Information, quantities and Communicating
• Building methods and construction technology
• Produce complex external surfaces
• Screeds and granolithic finishes
• Run in-situ moulds
• Board and set a ceiling, apply plaster to a curved wall and produce a curved cornice.
a HNC/HLA in Construction or other Level 4 Construction related qualifications.
