Level 2 Website Software
Making or maintaining your own website can be a daunting task if you’ve no prior knowledge. This course aims to boost your confidence by equipping you with the necessary skills to create and maintain your own website using a content management system (WordPress).
You’ll Need You will need access to a laptop or computer running at least Windows 8.1 or a Mac device (Intel (x64) or M1/M2 (arm64) running at least macOS Big Sur so that you’re capable to run the required software (Please note that tablets, Chromebooks, or Unix/Linux based systems are not suitable to complete this course).
You will need internet access with a download speed of at least 5mb/s, the ability to share your screen, and a microphone due to classes being run online.
Permissions to install software on the laptop or computer.
A written portfolio on:
- Production of low fidelity wireframes
- Completion of user acceptance testing
- Production of multi-page website
The process from start to finish on creating a website including:
- Wireframing
- Content curation in line with local guidelines
- Implementing a local development server
- Installation of WordPress
- Creation of multiple webpages with navigation
- Manual testing
