C&G Certificate In Essential Skills - Literacy

This course will help you improve your reading, writing and spelling skills.

Course Overview

This course aims to provide an opportunity to progress in English and to achieve a qualification at a level appropriate for you. 

Please apply online and you will be emailed information as to when this course will commence and what to do next.   Confirmation will be emailed to you including start time/date of when this course will start.  Once assessments have been marked, after course has started tutors will then be able to confirm via email what your result is and if you are eligible to enrol for the course.

Entry Requirements
No prior qualifications are required.
Where will it take me?
Progression within the 5 levels - from Level 1 to Level 2.
How will it make me more employable?
Most employers require employees with a qualification in English - this is your opportunity to achieve a qualification which is the equivalent of GCSE English (L2).  The qualification is also recognised by a number of further and higher education providers.
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
Assessment varies according to the level of qualification being studied.  At entry level a final assessment is completed at the end of the course.  Those learners completing will sit an external marked examination - for levels 1 and 2.
