C&G Certificate Essential Skills - ICT

This qualification can improve your computing skills, can open new doors, offering you better job prospects and greater confidence. Recognised within industry and all leading universities.

Course Overview

This course is studied over 17 weeks and there is a combination of classroom teaching and practical work and an e-portfolio created.

Essential Skills ICT is pitched at 2 levels - Level 1 and Level 2. After completing this course, either at Level 1 or 2, all students will have new skills in most Microsoft software, send e-mails and attachments, enhance your internet searching skills and much, much more.

All students will have access to the most up-to-date computing software along with excellent teaching staff.


How to apply

Please apply online and you will be emailed information as to when this course will commence and what to do next.   Confirmation will be emailed to you including start time/date of when this course will start.  Once assessments have been marked, after course has started tutors will then be able to confirm via email what your result is and if you are eligible to enrol for the course.

Entry Requirements

Some basic experience is required for this Essential Skills ICT course for example if you have used the computer to search for information on the internet, used a package to type up information etc then this is the course for you.  However this is not a beginners course and you must have some basic knowledge of software.

Level 1 to Level 2 (Qualification in ICT).
How will it make me more employable?

Skills acquired on the course will give you more computing knowledge.

E-Portfolio completed through practical assessment
