The Staff Associations across campuses organised this in conjunction with the Mind Yourself Campaign.

The teams joined more than 17,500 runners, completing the gruelling 26.2 mile course for their chosen charity, Marie Curie. An impressive £1,706 was raised from supporters, which will go a long way in helping the charity to continue to provide care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK.

The SERC runners have now fully recovered, with sore legs and blisters becoming a distant memory. Several members of the team are currently training for the Belfast and Lisburn half marathons this month, and all look forward to challenging the 2023 winner, Mohammed Oumaarir from Morocco, in the 2024 marathon.
