Maintaining a healthy blood pressure will help reduce your risk of heart and circulatory disease. Ways to maintain a healthy blood pressure includes reducing salt intake, being more active, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol intake and increasing fruit and vegetable consumption. 

If your blood pressure is consistently higher than 140/90mmHg then you may have high blood pressure, which is medically known as Hypertension. There are several ways you can get your blood pressure checked. For more information on these, please click here

Blood Pressure Advice Session 

NICHS will be holding an online Blood Pressure Advice Session on Thursday 1 June from 1pm - 2pm. Find out everything you need to know about Blood Pressure in the comfort of your own workplace or home, including information on preventing, detecting, and managing high blood pressure to reduce the risk of having a stroke or heart attack.
