Monthly Music Club at Island Arts Centre

The Music team in SERC Lisburn Campus have been working in collaboration with Island Arts Centre to get a local monthly music club off the ground, in a bid to develop the local scene.

Showcasing local bands and music, the venture will see live music performances -  and the chance for music conversations -  once a month in Island Arts Centre.   Even better, the events are FREE to attend. The next date, a songwriter session, is on Wednesday 26 February, starting at 7pm.   This will be followed by a band gig on Wednesday 26 March.

If you are into music, then come along and support local musicians, singers, bands and up and coming talent, some coming through SERC courses, including (above) Holly Gallagher (19) from the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music at Lisburn Campus.   Holly is one half of (inset) Vesperteen, alongside fellow student Sydney McCarter.   The duo, who met on their course, performed a mix of alternative rock and a range of genres at the first music session last month and were delighted to be involved.
