SERC Duo Set to Run London Landmarks Half Marathon

Michelle Graham and Nicole Black, both Lecturers in the Foundation Skills Academy at SERC, are getting geared up to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 6 April 2025.

The duo are taking on the run in aid of Action Mental Health following a visit from Hugh, from the charity, who delivered some workshops for students.

Speaking ahead of the marathon, Michelle said, “Running is not something I am naturally designed to do and I often wonder how I get myself into these things, but when Nicole suggested signing up, I innocently agreed – not having thought through the blood, sweat and tears it would take to train for it!”

The ladies were lucky enough to get places in the marathon through a ballot which attracts tens of thousands of entries each year from all over the world.  They are keen to maximise their efforts for Action Mental Health and all donations are gratefully received - no matter how small, every penny counts.   You can donate at Just Giving.
