Property People collaborate with local college to upskill

Once again SERC has prepared individuals to thrive in the workplace by up-skilling local businesses with nationally recognised qualifications. 

Property People based in Belfast City Centre have availed of a range of training programmes at their local Further Education College thanks to funding from the Department for the Economy’s Skills Focus training programme. 

SERC has created an education partnership with Property People and as a result the company have upskilled employees in gas awareness and sales and letting of residential properties.

The company completed specialist property management qualifications including a Level 3 Diploma in Sales of Residential Property as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Letting of Residential Property which have been designed to help estate agents gain professional skills and expertise. 

Colin Moran a partner at Property People said: “Investment in skills development is critical for enhancing our commitment to customer service and building a competitive edge. The training was designed to advance the knowledge and capabilities of our sales team.”

Thanks to their commitment to training, Property People was nominated for a Commitment to Training award at SERCs annual graduation ceremony.

SERC head of business services Elaine Flynn explains "​SERC recognises that training and development is an essential aspect of growing the local economy and we recognise that not all companies have the capital to invest in this. 

“I would encourage SME’s to take advantage of the Skills Focus funding to up-skill their staff and I encourage all employers to contact their local college about their training needs, since this is a real opportunity for their employees to gain new skills.”
