This two-week course will introduce you to the ‘Portal’, SERC’s management information system that enables teaching staff to capture student progress in relation to their academic programme. This system successfully updates the Student Portal thus supporting learners in clearly understanding what they have achieved, any outstanding tasks they may have and what needs to be completed. This course is ideal if you are new to teaching and are unfamiliar with this information management system or if you wish to view any recent updates.
This Course is most relevant to teaching staff.
You'll Learn How To:
- Access the Portal.
- Locate courses within the Portal.
- Successfully track student work.
- Set up assignments within the Portal.
- Navigate any specific and TBC updates.
- Quickly access student progress as a reminder of outstanding and or remaining work.
- Become much more familiar with a SERC support system to aid in the organisation, management and most importantly progress of student work.
Please note that you'll need to have access to a laptop or PC to practice course successful navigation of the Portal. It would also be advantageous to have course codes and programme numbers for ease of access.
