Cholesterol is a type of blood fat which is made in the liver and is found in some foods too. We all need some cholesterol in our bodies just to keep us ticking over, but having too much can clog up your arteries and lead to health problems in the future, including heart disease.

By getting a simple cholesterol test and making healthy lifestyle changes, most people can keep their cholesterol levels health-  click here for more information on cholesterol tests.

Heart UK created a downloadable Habit Tracker to help you identify a habit you would like to start or stop. Start off with one habit you'd like to change and fill out the tracker to help you stick with it. We all have habits we'd like to change - whether it's wanting to stop snacking on sugary treats between meals or trying to be more active instead of sitting in front of the TV. But making small changes to your habits can make a big difference to your cholesterol levels and general heart health.
