Last week, all four of South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) main campuses, Lisburn, Downpatrick, Bangor and Newtownards hosted a Valentine's themed fair.

The fairs which were hosted by SERC’s enterprise team, allowed students the opportunity to develop and enhance their enterprise skills by setting up a stall that they could use to sell their items or services to other students, SERC staff or members of the public.

The Valentine’s fairs saw a wonderful range of stalls showcasing bespoke jewellery products, unique hand-crafted gifts, painted portraits, health and beauty services, delicious culinary delights and some useful advice from SERC services.

Deputy Head of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Lizzie Buick said, “We host fairs throughout the academic year to give our students the chance to gain experience in creating, producing and selling their own products to fellow students, staff and members of the public. It is a great opportunity for students to develop their enterprise skills which form part of our project-based learning here at SERC.”

The students and staff would like to thank everyone who came along for their support. Check out our website events page, social and local press for future fairs through the year.
