Lynda Joyce commenced the College 6-week Weight Loss challenge in January 2019. Since starting Lynda has taken on new challenges.

Lynda Joyce commenced the College 6-week Weight Loss challenge in January 2019. To start Lynda downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and began calorie counting under the NHS guidelines and increased her exercise over the 6-week period. Lynda originally lost 4 lbs doing the challenge and this gave her the kick start to continue with calorie counting and increase her exercise, which she continues to do. Lynda has now lost over 1 stone in weight, dropped one to two dress sizes and feels a lot healthier.

Since starting Lynda has taken on new challenges such as boogie bounce, circuits classes, and she started up a walking group and ladies football team within her local community.

Lynda says “starting calorie counting by doing the weight loss challenge made me more aware of changing my diet, getting the most count of my daily allowance and knowing that exercising meant I had more available at the weekends for socialising and having treats that I had limited myself to during the week. The weight loss challenge gave me the incentive I needed to get me started and I would encourage everyone to give it a go”.
