The BTEC Higher Nationals in Engineering aims to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals who can meet the demands of employers in the rapidly evolving engineering sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification also aims to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake it. This is achieved by providing a thorough grounding in engineering principles in year 1 and a range of specialist modules in year 2, relating to individual professions within the engineering sector.
