Staff Govenor Election Results

Congratulations to James Lee, Systems Developer, Information Technology and Services and Andrew Corbett, Deputy Head of School, School of Performing and Creative Arts, for both being elected the new staff Governors.

The election for non-teaching staff took place on Wednesday 18 March, while the academic staff election took place Thursday 19 March.

The Further Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 provides the statutory basis for Further Education in Northern Ireland and makes provision for the appointment of either one or two staff governors in each college. SERC has two staff governors; one elected from the academic staff and one elected from the corporate staff.

We trust both James and Andrew will bring the perspective of staff to the decision-making process in the best interests of the College and wish them every success in their roles.
