SERC Students Go Head-to-Head at Electronics Intercampus Competitions

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) first- and second-year students from the Level 3 National Extended Diploma Engineering – Advanced Electronics course at the Bangor and Lisburn campuses, recently got into the competitive spirit at the electronics intercampus contests.

Beginning with the campus heats, the qualifying students then went on to participate in the final competitions and were tasked with showcasing their skills in breadboarding and electronic circuits. First place was awarded to Johnmark Scott (Lisburn campus), second place was secured by Miya Wiles (Bangor campus), third place was won by Evan McIlroy (Lisburn campus) and Lucy Redmond (Bangor campus) was recognised as runner up. 

Alison Black, SERC Mechatronics lecturer commented,  

“The electronics competitions were a great success with some super breadboarding. There was a fun and competitive atmosphere, and it was great to see the skills of the students within the electronics department. Congratulations to the winners and all the students who took part in the competition.”
