Best wishes for a successful trip go to the 14 SERC representatives competing in the NI SkillBuild Regional Competition tomorrow.

SkillBuild is delivered by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and showcases some of the brightest talent in construction. Supported by the Department for the Economy and local construction companies, the competition provides an opportunity to showcase the high level of skills among apprentices in Northern Ireland. The Regional Competition 2024 will take place at South West College Technology and Skills Centre, Enniskillen on Tuesday (21 May 2024).

The SERC contestants have already been through a rigorous and competitive selection process involving campus and inter-campus events.

The fourteen travelling to Enniskillen are:

David Magee; Dermot Moynagh; Paddy Madine; Luke McIlwrath; Taylor Simpson and Matthew Rutherford (demonstrating their skills in carpentry, joinery and cabinet-making); Fire and Security apprentices Conall Hanna; James Curry; Luke Wilson; Owen Brady; Rebecca Wilson and Taylor Rollo; and Abi Megrath and Matthew Drysdale, who are competing in the Electrical category.   The SERC apprentices will be among 100 of the brightest recruits in the construction industry who will be competing for honours, and potentially to progress to UK SkillBuild Finals in November. Good luck to team SERC!
