Prospective Students Invited to Full-Time Open Days

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is getting set to welcome hundreds of prospective students and their parents to their annual full-time open day at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards campuses on Wednesday 4 March, 2pm-7pm and, new for this year, on Saturday 7 March, 10am-12pm

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is getting set to welcome hundreds of prospective students and their parents to their annual full-time open day at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards campuses on Wednesday 4 March, 2pm-7pm and, new for this year, on Saturday 7 March, 10am-12pm.

The open days offers prospective students and their parents the opportunity to find out about the range of courses available at the College as well as the chance to speak to expert lecturers. The College offers courses from Level 1 through to Level 6 covering subjects from health and social care to animal care, applied science to manufacturing engineering, public services to food and beverage service, IT to music technology.  

SERC’s in-house careers advisors will be available for students who are undecided about what direction is right for them or unsure about what courses to consider. The student finance team will be on hand to provide information on different funding options.

Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive, said, “Our open days provide a great opportunity to welcome prospective students to the College to meet with lecturing staff and discuss their options one to one. It is designed to give school-leavers, looking to further their career prospects, the chance to learn what they can achieve at SERC and see for themselves the high-quality skills training SERC can provide to help them realise their ambitions.  

He added, “As well as our open day on Wednesday 4 March, 2pm – 7pm, this year we have extended the option to visit on Saturday morning, 7 March 10am-12noon, also across our main Campuses in Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards.”

As well as showcasing the opportunities offered by the College and informing students of the huge variety of courses leading to many career possibilities, the open day allows prospective students to experience the high-quality facilities and resources offered on their doorsteps and learn why they could be #BetterOffAtSERC.
