Pilates and Yoga classes available at SERC

Beginning in September (week commencing 16 September), SERC will be offering leisure classes in Pilates and Yoga.

These popular fitness courses will be offered in our Bangor, Downpatrick and Lisburn campuses and will last for a duration of 10 weeks. The total cost of each course is £50.

Pilates

Pilates was invented in the early 20th century as a method of body rehabilitation and strengthening. This exercise focuses on toning your body while improving your posture and movement.

Campus, day and time:

  • Bangor: Tuesdays at 5:30-6:30p.m.
  • Lisburn: Wednesdays at 5.30-6.30p.m.
  • Downpatrick: Thursdays at 5.30-6.30p.m.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that often involves exploring spirituality and has been known to have beneficial effects on mental wellbeing and stress levels while building strength and flexibility.

Campus, day and time:

  • Bangor: Tuesdays at 4.30-5.30p.m.
  • Lisburn: Wednesdays at 4.30-5.30p.m.
  • Downpatrick: Thursdays at 4.30-5.30p.m.
