The Belfast and South-Eastern Health trusts are working together to provide out-of-hours emergency support for adults experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

MATT stands for Multi-Agency Triage Team, and unites mental health professionals with other emergency services, usually via a mobile unit.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, MATT has moved to a telephone service, but is still available from 7pm to 3am on Friday and Saturday nights, and from 3pm to 11pm on Sundays.

The service is open to individuals aged 18 and over experiencing an emotional or mental health crisis and can be accessed by ringing 999 or 101.
