Music Legends - Free Live Online Pub Quiz from QuizWhip

QuizWhip is a new series of live online pub quizzes and virtual games that you can play at home to compete with others across the world, earning points and winning prizes. Every player will be randomly assigned one of five teams. Alongside earning yourself points whilst playing our quizzes, you will also be earning points collectively as a team. Prizes will be up for grabs for players in high scoring teams each month. Virtual Tour - Tales from the Tower of London

Sat, 9 January 2021, 11:00am – 12:00pm, £6 per person, £12 for group

On this Virtual Tour delivered by Zoom, you will learn of some of the tales from the Tower of London - from famous prisoners like Anne Boleyn to less well known ones like Ludovico Hurwitz-y-Zender a German spy shot in the Tower in World War One. You'll hear about the animals that made the Tower home from the unfortunate elephant to the famous raven's. And hear what life was like working for a medieval king. The virtual tour features pictures from the Tower of London, including close up's of prisoners graffiti and the armour of King Henry VIII. Live streamed violin recital with Simon Blendis

Internationally renowned violinist Simon Blendis will play a varied programme streamed live via Zoom. Simon is a professor of violin at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. A keen exponent of new music, Simon has had works for solo violin written for him by, amongst others, Tansy Davies, Stuart Macrae, John Woolrich and jazz legend Dave Brubeck, and new violin concertos by David Knotts and Jeff Moore.
