Féile an Phobail Presents Virtual Féile 2020

Féile an Phobail is Ireland's Biggest Community Arts Festival, showcasing a love for the arts and cultural events in Belfast. This year the festival will be held online, but you can still expect a fantastic line-up of events. The iconic Haulbowline Lighthouse will be illuminated, at 9.30pm from 1 August creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene that will light up the night for miles around. This year’s illumination will be even more special with the lighthouse being flooded in blue light as a tribute to all frontline and care workers. Trina Hobson returns to the ArtisAnn Gallery with an amazing new show after successful international exhibitions and commissions. For this exhibition, Trina highlights a traditional method of working, with its struggle of repositioning, adjusting, adding to and scraping off, at a time when paintings produced through tracing and projections are becoming more common due to advances in technology. All art is available to buy, and is eligible for the Own Art scheme, which provides an interest-free loan over 10 months.
