Gareth Shortlisted for Learning Technology Award

A South Eastern Regional College employee has been shortlisted for an international Learning Technologies Award.
Bangor man, Gareth Compton, Head of Digital Media, has worked at SERC for 20 years.
Dr Michael Malone, Director of Curriculum at SERC said, “We are delighted that Gareth has been shortlisted for this prestigious award which recognises commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world.”
He added, “Gareth’s work has enabled the integrated digital systems, College strategy and teaching methodologies to work in synchronisation with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The scope of his work means that he is constantly upskilling, seeking effective and efficient ways to progress projects as well as creating innovative and customised solutions for the benefit of students and staff and for the advancement of the College’s strategy.”
The Learning Technologies Awards is the leading awards scheme in the industry, and the judging process it uses is led and co-ordinated by the eLearning Network, based on a team of judges drawn from leading professionals in learning and development. Winners will be announced at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 17 November.
