Fundraiser Fun Day at Newcastle

A Fun Day will be taking place 27 May from 12:00 to 15:00 at SERC’s Newcastle campus. The Fundraising event will feature carnival games, BBQ and prizes and is open to staff, students and members of the public.

The fundraiser will raise money for former student Michelle Madine, whose daughter Ellie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in August 2021 and has had several surgeries including a brain tumour removal. Unfortunately, Ellie has never recovered from the operation and has been left with complex needs and requires around the clock care.

Ellie’s condition is now called Sleeping Beauty, as she will never waken or recover. The funds raised will go towards helping Michelle and Philip with ongoing bills and buy unfunded equipment that will help Ellie when she comes home.
