Freshers 2021 - Week 1

SERC Students’ Union are excited to see the return of on-campus fairs; it’s been a long 18 months since our last on-campus event and we look forward to welcoming new students and seeing some familiar faces again.

This year we have taken the opportunity to expand our Freshers' event to two weeks, meaning we can host more focused fairs which we hope will be to the benefit of the students.

Week 1 will focus on health and wellbeing:

• Monday 27 September - Bangor
• Wednesday 29 September - Lisburn
• Thursday 30 September - Downpatrick

Some of the exhibitors confirmed for the health and wellbeing fairs include Aware, Common Youth, Inspire, Positive Life, Rainbow Project, Cancer Focus, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, Cara Friend and Women’s Aid. There will also be breakout sessions with Inspire and Aware and classes can book in for these sessions.

SERC Careers team will also be hosting drop-in session at the fairs on the above listed dates and campuses, as well as at the Newcastle campus on Friday 1 October.

The drop-in sessions allow students to:

• Meet the Careers Staff for their own campus.
• Find out more about SERC Careers Service and how they can help.
• Hear more about forthcoming careers events.
• Find out how to keep up to date with the latest careers news and opportunities.
• Ask any career related questions you might have.
