After a two year wait, SERC’s College Connect students were back gaining invaluable experience at the beautiful Mountstewart Estate, owned by the National Trust and situated on the Ards Peninsula. The team were responsible for clearing an area around the water treatment plant, which had become totally overgrown in the last two years.

Jonathan Keightley, Facilities Manager, Mount Stewart House & Gardens said, “A massive thanks to all the team at SERC & the students from the College Connect scheme, who did an amazing job on clearing vegetation away from our water treatment area. I was really impressed with their great attitude & the pride they showed in their work. I look forward to future projects when we will have the opportunity to work together again.”
