As part of Time to Talk wellbeing celebrations, SERC’s Mind Yourself team worked in collaboration with the Hair and Beauty teams in the Bangor, Downpatrick, and Lisburn Campuses to offer Feel Good, Look Good sessions last week.
Time to Talk is the nation’s biggest annual mental health conversation. Events and activities offer everyone the opportunity to come together to talk, listen and engage with each other.
Besides offering treatments for self-care for everyone, Level 2 and Level 3 Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy students got to hone their skills by practising and engaging with real clients. Treatments offered included mini manicures, mini facials and mini pedicures, back massages and Olaplex treatment with wash and blow dry – depending on which salon visited.
