See below for more information

The SERC Progression Bursary will help current Further Education (FE) Level 3 students at SERC progress to full-time Higher Education courses at SERC.  This is a non-repayable, non means tested bursary payment of £500 cash in each year of your HE course and is being offered to support students who choose to continue their studies with SERC from FE to full-time HE level.

The bursary will be available to all SERC Level 3 students who meet the criteria.  The sum of £500 per year of study, will be paid annually in the January following the commencement of the academic year to students who continue the course after the Christmas break and do not drop out.  This could be worth £1000 or £1500 to you if you are studying a two- or three-year course.

An attendance level of at least 80% will be required in order for you to be eligible to receive the payments.

The bursary will be introduced for students commencing a full-time HE course in September 2022 as a pilot initiative.  It will be paid for the duration of the course (if criteria are met), but the bursary initiative will be reviewed in February 2023 to determine if it will be offered to new students.

If you have any queries about the bursary or applying for a Full-Time HE course, please contact your current Tutor, a member of the Careers team or Customer Services.
