Registration for WorldSkills UK’s national skills competitions is now open until 24 March 2023.

Registration for WorldSkills UK’s national skills competitions is now open until 24 March 2023. There are more than 50 competitions available, including eight Foundation Skills competitions, all of which are designed by industry experts. These programmes help young people from all backgrounds and abilities to grow personally whilst honing their technical and employability skills.

In fact:

97% of previous entrants say they improved their technical skills after taking part

93% said they improved their personal and employability skills

90% said they can apply the skills they developed to their education, work or other parts of their life

Average earnings of those who participated in our competition development programmes is also 60% higher than those of a comparable per group.

Those who excel in the National Qualifiers will be invited to take part in the National Finals, in November 2023, with the winners crowned the UK’s best in their chosen skill. They will also have the chance to be selected to compete against their international peers at WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

Registration for the 2023 National Competition cycle is now open.

WorldSkills UK is committed to diversity and inclusion to ensure equity for all young people. We encourage registrations from under-represented groups including: women in under-represented skills, those from ethnic minority backgrounds, competitors with special educational needs and disabilities, those from the LGBT+ community and competitors from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
