Volunteers needed for Warrior Assault- Bangor

What is Warrior Assault?

Warrior Assault is the newest Obstacle Course Race to hit Northern Ireland! Serious, no nonsense, this is an assault course for warriors. With two courses, one for adults and one for children, Warrior Assault is a fun packed obstacle course race for kids and adults!

When is it?

Main Event - Saturday 18th May 2019  

On sign up, people can select which ‘wave’ they want to participate in on the day – competitive, adult, teen or family.

The Courses

The adult course is suitable for anyone over 16+ years, from complete beginner to regular OCR pros. The course has a 5km and 10km option – simply choose on the day which one you’re going to tackle! We’ll also have a teen wave; meaning anyone aged 12-15 years can complete the course just with people of their age.

For any families wanting to take on the course together, there’ll be a Family Friendly Wave for Adults and Teens 12+ years. And for all the kids out there wanting who love to race around in the mud, we have our Junior Warriors course! This is a separate 1km course just for Kids aged 4 - 11 yrs.

The Obstacles

Tackle your way through 30+ obstacles to become a Warrior! From tyre walls and monkey bars to getting down and dirty in the cargo net crawls and mud zone. You name it, we’ve got it!

The Venue

Warrior Assault will be held in partnership with Bangor Aurora and the course will weave you around the surrounding area of Valentines playing fields and Castle Park. There’ll also be a family friendly event village with DJ, Live Music and food and beverage stalls.

Pricing Adult: £42.50, Teen (12-15): £20, Child (4-11): £15.00, Family Pass (2 adults + 2 children): £90 Group prices are also available for teams of 10 or more.

Why not become part of the Warrior Assault Squad? You will get to see a mud run up close and personal, helping guide our participants through the course, and giving them plenty of encouragement….without getting muddy!

You’ll be marshalling, encouraging, assisting, running, sometimes jumping and generally having a ball! We need you to be super enthusiastic!

We need you, if you like giving orders in a friendly way, so our warriors stay as safe as possible. And more than that, we need you because you’re you.

You can volunteer at a time that suits you! There are 2 slots – 9.30am – 1.30pm and 1pm – 5pm

All volunteers must be age 16+.

You will be expected to attend a 1 hour briefing session in the week running up to the event as well.
