Virtual Wellbeing Week - Relaxing and Unwinding

Relaxation exercises, as with many other chosen relaxation techniques, not only promote feelings of calm, happiness and help us de-stress; they also keep the mind and body functioning at their best. 

During virtual wellness week we are offering the following 30-minute morning sessions:

Mindfulness and Meditation

This morning mindfulness and meditation session with Wellbeing NI will deliver a morning meditation with breathwork and affirmations to start your day on a positive note! The meditation can be undertaken sitting or lying down. A pen and pad will be useful so you can write some affirmations down before the meditation.

Tai Chi

This session will give you an introduction to Tai Chi and you will start with a warm up, gentle meditative movement followed by a cool down and reflection.

Armchair Yoga

This session will involve gentle movement and stretching, combining relaxed breathing with some mindfulness and meditation to allow your mind and body to fully relax.

It is recommended you find a quiet space at home or in the office, have water available and wear comfortable clothing.

Yoga Standing Session

In this session you will connect with breathing and then begin a short movement sequence, you will honour and replenish your body and it will be followed by some mindfulness and meditation.

Women’s Health and Hormones and Happiness

This session will be delivered by the Wellbeing Pathway and will cover:

  • What does health mean to me?
  • How can we create happiness in our lives?
  • What role do hormones play in women's wellbeing?
  • Self-care and relaxation in practice followed with a short, guided mediation.

Men’s Healthy Eating and Exercise Information Session

This session is for men, and it will cover healthy eating, nutrition advice, and the importance of increasing your physical activity and exercising for a healthy lifestyle.

Digital Wellbeing

This interactive session will focus on strategies to help you manage your digital wellbeing with confidence by discovering the importance of digital wellbeing and tools to help you navigate your digital world.
