Teaching Tips and Resources

SERC is always keen to promote new and exciting ways to engage with students to help them learn. In this series, we will share good practice and use of resources from different college departments that may be of use to you.
Today we are looking at Microsoft Teams and Moodle.
Here we see Moodle embedded into Microsoft Teams itself. This allows for all student resources to be collected and accessed through one place, making it easy for students to navigate to the resources they need in a quick and easy manor.
Moodle can also be used for quizzes as seen above. Combining this with the embedding in Microsoft Teams, a student can go on to Microsoft Teams, revise areas of study on Teams, then quickly switch to Moodle to do a quiz on the subject area to test their knowledge.
Quizlet resources can also be embedded in Moodle. You can embed Quizlet resources in Moodle, which can in turn be embedded in Microsoft Teams, making a Microsoft Teams page a centre for resources across multiple apps.
If you want to learn more about how Microsoft Teams, Moodle or e-assessments can work for you and your students, please feel free to contact Stuart Rankin for a chat. Support can be provided by the Learning Academy mentors (contact them through the service desk or at learningacademy@serc.ac.uk)
