Student Intern opportunities available with Terra Nova Productions

In 2016 Terra Nova Productions broke Irish records staging the Belfast Tempest. It was an enormous international production uniting 187 community participants including SERC students with 45 professional arts and theatre makers from around the world. It represented Northern Ireland in the global Shakespeare 400 celebrations.
Now the company is back with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
SERC students are being offered the opportunity to intern on the show. You will be working with an international director, with over 60 productions under her belt. She is joined by artists and technical experts from Ireland and beyond. The production team includes Ashley Smyth, Jennie Newell, lighting designer Conleth White, production designer Diana Ennis, and many more. The outstanding acting company is Patrick McBrearty, Stefan Dunbar, Roisin Gallagher, Rosie McClelland, David Monteith, Comfort Fabian, Jamal Franklin and Conor Cupples.
Students will have the opportunity to work on a giant site-specific wrap-around production in all its various aspects including mask making, props making, set construction, featherwork, leatherwork, dyework, Sewing, lighting, sound, stage management, production management, carpentry, make-up, hair, front of house, production and more, side by side with professionals both local and international.
There will be an after show party on the 5th of May to which everyone is invited.
The project will provide invaluable large-scale Shakespeare experience.
You will be expected to work a minimum of 26 hours on the project. Performances are May 2-5. Production get in begins April 28 to the Queens Hall, and the days April 29, 30 and May 1 are expected to be busy, especially in the evening.
