Student Governor and Campus President Nominations Now Open

The Nominations are now open for Student Governor as well as all Campus President’s for the next academic year 2023/24.

The Student Governor is the prime representative of the Students’ Union at SERC. This position will see the successful candidate form part of the Governing Body and senior decision-making body of SERC. The Student Governor sits on the board as a nominee rather than a student representative, and therefore has equal powers to the other board members. This is a paid position with remuneration for Board of Governor duties, including travel expenses.

The Campus President represents the campus they study on. They lead the officers on their campus and report back to the Student Governor. The President is expected to support SU activities as well as support the other officers on their campus.

• Each role requires dedication with duties including:  
• Undertaking of training to prepare for the role.     
• Attendance at SU meetings.     
• Work closely with the Student Engagement Team to support students on their Campus.
• Attendance at all internal and external events including leading delegations to NUS USI conferences.
