SERC students studying a Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and a Level 3 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship attended Mindset training earlier in November. The programme was hosted by Hugh Roarty from Action Mental Health. Funded by the Public Health Agency, Mindset is a Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing Awareness programme for 14-17-year olds, young people and adults.

The overall aim of this one-day course is to raise awareness and increase knowledge and understand of Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing. This course will assist students in recognising symptoms of mental health problems and help promote how to maintain a safe level of positive mental and emotional health and wellbeing.
