World Book Day changes lives through creating a love of books and shared reading. as well as promoting reading for pleasure, offering every child, young person and adult the opportunity to have a book of their own. In addition to its de-stressing its benefits, reading also increases memory and lifespan, reduces stress and anxiety, enhances sleep quality, and provides low-cost entertainment.
The aim of the new Book Club is for staff to come together as a group to give their opinion about books, and give recommendations that you think others might like to read. Once the group is established, we will be looking for members of the group to lead short informal discussion meetings via teams at times suitable to everyone.
To join the Book Club email mindyourself@serc.ac.uk to be added to the MS Teams page.
The Libraries NI website also offers book recommendations and reviews. Access to the Libraries NI Libby app offers online wellbeing events such as Tai Chi and Yoga, to find out more click here
