SU Men’s Health Events

November is here which means shorter days, cosier nights in, festive excitement for some, and moustache growing for many. November also known as Movember is the month of men’s health, and SERC’s Students’ Union (SU) will be taking the opportunity to host a series of events to raise awareness for men’s health.
The SU will be hosting health awareness events across the College’s Bangor, Downpatrick and Lisburn Campuses on the following dates and locations.
The events will take place on the following dates and locations.
- Monday 21 November- Downpatrick- McNeill Room- 12-2pm- The event will feature the SU, Youth Health Advice Service, rep from South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust with health advice, "How to check your balls" demo and PIPS suicide preventions charity.
- Tuesday 22 November- Lisburn- Reception-12-2pm- The event will feature the SU, Youth Health Advice Service, rep from South Eastern Health and Social Care with health advice, "How to check your balls" demo, PIPS suicide prevention charity and SERC Sport will be there for free health checks including BMI, heart rate, blood pressure, lung capacity.
- Wednesday 23 November- Bangor- outside canteen-12-2pm- The event will feature the SU, Youth Health Advice Service, rep from South Eastern Health and Social Care with health advice, "How to check your balls" demo, PIPS suicide prevention charity and SERC Sport will be there for free health checks including BMI, heart rate, blood pressure, lung capacity.
