2022 International Mens Health Week

Today’s theme for Men’s Health Week is Prevention is better than cure, underlining that it is important to check yourself and be aware of the signs and symptoms of your general health, heart health and cancer risks.

On Tuesday 14th June at 12:00pm, Colin Atkinson DHOS SERC Sport will be hosting a lunch time information session for Men’s Health Week. In this session he will be covering:

  • Healthy eating and nutrition advice for men
  • How to increase your physical activity and the importance of exercise for men
  • Information on use of college gyms for staff

Youth Health Advice Service is on campus today in:

  • Newtownards from 10am-12:30pm in Room A2
  • Lisburn from 2pm-4:30pm in the first aid room

This is a service for 16-25 year olds to drop in with a youth support worker to get health advice. The Youth Health Advice Service provides information about mental health, sexual health, smoking, alcohol etc. They also provide free STI testing and condoms. Feel free to drop in with any queries or questions.
