Healthy Eating Week

This year’s Healthy Eating Week will take place from 13 - 17 June 2022. The main message this year is, eat well for you and the planet!

The foods and drinks we choose are important for our health and the health of the planet. Globally, food production is responsible for about a third of all greenhouse gas emissions, uses over two-thirds of fresh water and over a third of available land.

The themes for the week are:

  • Monday – Focus on Fibre
  • Tuesday – Get at Least 5 a Day
  • Wednesday – Vary your protein
  • Thursday – Stay Hydrated
  • Friday – Reduce Food Waste

Activities

  • Keep an eye out on the SU Online Hub for more info and fun activities to take part in throughout the week.
  • The College Kitchen on each campus will be having a different healthy lunchtime option every day! (See below)
  • There will also be a quiz for staff and students on Friday 10th June, if you would like to take part please email emcfadden@serc.ac.uk, to be in with a chance of winning a College Kitchen voucher for your preferred campus.
