SERC Learning Support staff member Carol Crooke has been busy working with ‘North Down and Ards scrubs for NHS’ Facebook page in the Bangor community. The Facebook group has drop off and pick up points across the area and has recently organised local teams of cutters and stitchers.
Carol began using her own stash of poly cotton to make three sets of scrubs, when she dropped them off, Carol picked up some pre-cut scrubs at her local drop point. To date Carol has made five sets of scrubs and two scrub wash bags which have been donated to the Ulster hospital.
Carol took a break from stitching over the Easter holiday and gave her hands a well-deserved break as her sewing machine sadly broke. Carol is keen to get stitching again soon in the very near future as her sewing machine is now back up and running.
