HND Computing students at South Eastern Regional College are offering free workshops to give parents, grandparents or carers a better understanding of how to keep children safe online on Wednesday 27 February, 1.00pm – 3.30pm, at SERC’s SPACE, Castle Park Road, Bangor or Thursday 28 February 1:00-3:30 p.m. at SERC Lisburn.

Participants are invited to attend two sessions on the day of their choice and can choose between Dodgy Downloads and Setting Up Parental Controls for the first session and Staying Safe on Social Media or Making the Most of Memory for session two.

Tracey Davies, SERC Lecturer in Software Engineering said, “This free training course is a great learning opportunity for both the participants and our students. The training course has been designed by our Bangor and Lisburn HND Computing students as part of their studies.”

“The sessions will last for approximately an hour.  Delegates will be able choose their preferred option in each session and the event will be managed and facilitated by the students themselves.”
