SERC Public Service students organise Food Bank Collection Point

SERC Public Services 90 Credit Diploma students will be holding a Food Bank Collection Point on Wednesday February 13 from 11.30a.m. until 4:00p.m. This collection point will be in the reception area of SERC’s Bangor campus with all proceeds going to Storehouse North Down.
The students are currently studying volunteering as part of their course and are working to accrue hours for Millennium Volunteers. This activity allows students to practice their leadership and team work skills.
Please rummage in your kitchen cupboards and donate any items of food which you are unlikely to use. No donation is too small and is greatly appreciated in helping those in need.
Items that can be donated currently include:
- biscuits
- porridge
- tinned snacks
- tinned meals
- sugar
- kitchen rolls
- toilet rolls
- toothpaste
- baby food
- jam
- pasta sauces
- diluted juice
- breakfast juice
- long life milk
- pasta dried
- rice cereal
- salt and pepper
- cooking oils
- tea and coffee
- cleaning products
