SERC raise £730 for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Staff members from SERC Downpatrick Campus, students from Newtownards Campus Job Club and Level 2 Professional Bakery and Foundation Degree in Hospitality from the Bangor Campus recently held coffee mornings in support of Macmillan’s World Biggest Coffee Morning.

Altogether the teams raised a fantastic £730 to support people living with cancer through Macmillan which is almost entirely funded by donations.

Siobhan Fearon, Head of Communications, Engagement and Admissions at SERC said, “This is a fantastic result for staff and students on behalf of Macmillan.  A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated and supported the coffee mornings for this very worthwhile cause. As well as raising monies, the coffee morning provided a lovely opportunity for staff and students from different parts of the College to get together for a chat over coffee and to enjoy some delicious treats.”
