South Eastern Regional College (SERC) Level 2 Catering trainee Matthew Beech (18) from Seymour Hill, is taking part in the Moy Park Belfast City Marathon this weekend on 5 May, to raise money for Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS).

The Moy Park Belfast City Marathon, partnered with Air Ambulance NI, is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland and is an Association of International Marathons and Distance Races certified race. Contestants will start at Stormont Estate (Prince of Wales Avenue) and will finish at Ormeau Park.

The marathon is well known for the incredible local support and crowds cheering on runners throughout the 26.2 miles they will run. If you would like to help cheer on Matthew, please donate to his JustGiving page to help make a difference to those affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions.

SERC wishes Matthew, and all other staff and students who are taking on the marathon this weekend, the best of luck.
